Romelu Lukaku has told how he dreamt as a 10-year-old that he would one day play under Jose Mourinho.
The newest member of the Manchester United is reflecting on finally getting his move away from Everton to play Champions League football.
His £75million move from Goodison Park had been mentioned regularly in sports headlines this summer and it was completed this afternoon – days after a fee had been agreed between the two clubs.
Now he’s a United player, Lukaku is able to talk openly about why he’s signed for the Red Devils and what he intends to achieve while at Old Trafford.
And, according to the man himself, he’s held a dream since being 10-year-old that he would one day play under Mourinho:

Lukaku has actually played under Mourinho before – but their time at Chelsea was ended three years ago when the Portuguese boss decided to sell him to Everton.
Presumably, Mourinho wanted Lukaku to get the first team football he couldn’t get at Stamford Bridge and that now means he’s a better player for it.
But it doesn’t look like there’s any animosity between the two after that sale. Lukaku is a United player and fully focused on scoring a lot of goals at the club, just like he did at Everton.
