Geoffrey Kondogbia might only be 24 – but it’s probably about time he quits football after scoring the most ridiculous own goal you’ll ever see.
The French midfielder played in Inter Milan’s friendly against Chelsea in Singapore this afternoon and probably wouldn’t have expected to get on the scoresheet given he’s a defensive midfielder.
But he did get in among the goals – albeit by scoring into his own net in spectacular fashion.
Receiving a pass in midfield, Kondogbia went first time back to his goalkeeper, but his pass was way too high and powerful – flying over Daniele Padelli in goal and into the net:

You have to feel sorry for Kondogbia – he probably wanted the Singapore ground to swallow him up after seeing that hit the net.
Fortunately for Kondogbia and Inter, they managed to hold on to beat Chelsea 2-1 for a very decent pre-season result.
Stevan Jovetic scored the opener for the Italians before Manchester United target Ivan Perisic netted, but Chelsea could do nothing to get back level after the bizarre own goal.
