The match was to raise funds for St Oswald’s Hospice, and included the likes of Keith Gillespie, Peter Beardsley, Steve Howey and Steve Harper also in the Magpie ranks.
But there no surprising who stole the show, with Gazza winning all of the adulation after a pretty decent performance, and a goal into the bargain too:

Sure, it might not be the most spectacular goal of his entire career, but given everything he’s been through in th elast few years, it’s just nice to see him playing football again.
Could we see him back playing for a Rangers legends team soon? Someone needs to make that happen!
