The 31-year-old striker joined United back in the summer of 2004 from boyhood club Everton, and he went on to become one of the club’s most successful modern-era players.

Aside from winning every trophy available to him at club level, Rooney went on to become United’s all-time record scorer – overtaking the likes of Dennis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton.
As we told you earlier today, Rooney has now re-joined Everton on a two-year deal after it became apparent last season that his days were numbered with the Red Devils.
