Arsenal Fans Are Sticking Up For Jack Wilshere After His U23 Red Card

Jack Wilshere‘s Arsenal career is apparently hanging by a thread today following his slightly bizarre red card in an Under-23 match last night but the club’s supporters are throwing their weight behind him.

The England international was playing for the club’s junior side in a match against Manchester City at the Emirates when he was shown a straight red card after becoming embroiled in a scuffle with several opponents, following a heavy tackle from Matthew Smith.

Given the fact Wilshere has been reduced to fighting with youngsters in reserve matches, rather than helping Arsene Wenger’s first-team in their title fight, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that his days with the Gunners might be numbered.

But it appears a lot of Gooners on social media have let it be known that perhaps Wilshere’s reaction is exactly the kind of passion and fire lacking from Wenger’s current squad:

What do you think of the situation? Does Wilshere still have a future at Arsenal?
