Serge Aurier‘s Spurs career got off to the worst possible start this afternoon after an old picture of the right-back wearing an Arsenal shirt resurfaced online – leading to some brutal trolling from Gooners.
The Ivory Coast international is on the brink of securing a move to Tottenham from PSG after he was granted a work permit, and will battle it out with Kieran Trippier for a starting berth.

Aurier is undoubtedly a very good player, and Spurs fans will probably just be happy to see their club spending a few quid before the transfer window closes.
But an old photo of Aurier in an Arsenal jersey has only given Spurs’ bitter rivals plenty of ammunition on social media:

We can all agree isn’t not an ideal start to life as a Tottenham player – but do things like this really matter?
Surely if he performs well, all will be forgotten?
