Jozo Simunovic Tweets Delight at Making Champions League Amid Burnley Reports

Jozo Simunovic has tweeted his delight at Celtic making the Champions League – cooling talk of Burnley‘s interest in signing him.

Stories emerged earlier this week about the Turf Moor side being keen on a £10million move for the Croatian defender.

He was left out of the Celtic team that played against Astana in the second leg of their Champions League playoff tie last night over concerns with the artificial pitch.

And some not tuned into Simunovic and his past issues with injury could have confused that for the player being unsettled amid talk around his future.

But the Croatian was simply rested – and has now shared his delight at Celtic making the Champions League group stages:

Does that read like a man who wants to sign for Burnley and fight it out in the bottom half of the English Premier League?

Celtic lost 4-3 to Astana last night, but advanced with an 8-4 aggregate scoreline and will now wait to find out their group stage opponents when Thursday’s draw is made.
