It Looks Like Nice Are No Longer in the Race For Patrick Roberts

There could be good news for Celtic fans tonight as it looks like French side Nice have ended their pursuit of Man City winger Patrick Roberts.

The England youth international is a man in demand following his successful 18-month loan spell with Celtic, and the Hoops have made no secret of their desire to re-sign the 20-year-old.

In fact, only earlier today we told you how the club’s assistant manager Chris Davies had admitted that communication with City and Roberts was still ongoing.

However, Nice and Southampton are also thought to be in the running for Roberts’ signature, but now it seems the Ligue 1 side have turned their attentions elsewhere, according to French football journalist Robin Bairner:

So, there you go, Celtic fans.

Whilst we acknowledge this isn’t a guarantee that Roberts will return to Glasgow, it can only be good news that he certainly isn’t going to Nice.

What do you think? Where will Roberts end up?
