Martyn Waghorn Posts Emotional Goodbye as He Heads For Rangers Exit

Martyn Waghorn has sent a heartfelt goodbye to Rangers fans as he heads for English Championship side Ipswich Town.

The striker has struggled for game-time under new Gers boss Pedro Caixinha and a parting of the ways has seemed inevitable for some time now.

Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich have provided Waghorn with an escape, and whilst the Englishman will probably be delighted to be back playing football, he definitely seems a bit sad to be leaving Ibrox.

After the news of his £1 million move was revealed earlier today, Waghorn addressed the transfer on his official Instagram page:

He might not have hit the heights expected of him last season, but Waghorn did still manage to score 16 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.

What do you think of his impending departure? Will he be missed by supporters, or was a new challenge in everybody’s interest?
