Neil Lennon Cups Ears to Rangers Fans After Hibs Goal

Neil Lennon Cups Ears to Rangers Fans After Hibs Goal

Neil Lennon cupped his ears to the Rangers fans behind his dugout after a Hibs goal this afternoon.

The Hibees manager celebrated three goals for his side at Ibrox as they recovered from going behind early on to Alfredo Morelos’ goal.

Simon Murray got the visitors back on level terms with a nice individual goal before Ryan Jack was sent off for his part in a midfield scuffle before half-time.

James Tavernier put the ball into his own net shortly after and Vykintas Slivka’s second-half volley had Hibs in a commanding 3-1 lead before Tavernier made it 2-3 late on.

And at what point after a Hibs goal, Lennon hit back at the Rangers fans who were vocal in their dislike of him:

That’ll no doubt get Lennon more stick, but it shouldn’t be taken too seriously given he’s no stranger to getting abuse himself.

Rangers fans weren’t happy with referee John Beaton’s performance in the game and were vocal on Twitter about that post-match.

They’ll now have to pick themselves up for the visit of Hearts next weekend – a game in which they’ll be without Jack through suspension.
