Rangers Fans Slaughter John Beaton After His Refereeing Performance

Rangers fans are slaughtering John Beaton after his refereeing performance in their defeat to Hibs this afternoon.

There was a lot of optimism at Ibrox following victories over Motherwell and Dunfermline over the last week.

And that was only added to when Alfredo Morelos headed them into an early lead in today’s game.

But the atmosphere was quickly sucked out of the Rangers support when Simon Murray equalised for Hibs and that was followed up by Beaton’s decision to send off Ryan Jack before half-time.

A scuffle in midfield saw Jack push Dylan McGeouch over by the neck and Beaton decided that was worthy of a red card.

Yet it did look very soft when you consider there were a number of players raising their hands in the clash.

Gers fans are certain that Beaton is to blame for their side going on to lose 3-1 – and they’ve taken to Twitter to share that:

There’s absolutely no doubt that Jack’s sending off had a massive impact in the game considering the teams looked evenly matched before the home side went down to 10 men.

Rangers fans – did Jack deserve a red card?
