Video: Callum McGregor Goal All About Brilliant Scott Sinclair Assist

Callum McGregor owes a big thanks to Scott Sinclair for his goal against Hearts in today’s Premiership opener.

The Celtic midfielder has enjoyed a decent pre-season campaign and was important in the team’s 1-0 win away at Rosenborg in the Champions League in midweek.

And he played well again today as the champions kicked off their league season with the visit of Hearts.

McGregor set up Leigh Griffiths for his second goal of the game in the second half and followed that up with a stunner of his own.

But it was all about Sinclair, who burst away from two Hearts players in midfield to set up McGregor to finish:

How good is that from Sinclair? And McGregor’s finish isn’t too bad either.

Celtic beat Hearts 4-1 thanks to McGregor’s goal and further strikes from Leigh Griffiths and Sinclair.

Rodgers will be hoping his team can continue their strong start to the season and beat Astana over two Champions League playoff games to book a place in the group stages.
