Video: Cristiano Ronaldo Scores a Stunning Goal vs the Faroe Islands

Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t appear to have lost a step over the summer, with the Portugal international scoring a sublime scissor-kick goal against the Faroe Islands tonight.

Portugal will be expecting a comfortable victory as they host a country currently ranked 89th in the world by FIFA, but that hasn’t stopped Ronaldo from putting on a show.

The Real Madrid star was of course linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer, amidst allegations of tax fraud in Spain.

However, it appears the 31-year-old has decided to stay at Madrid, with Zinedine Zidane’s side picking up a historic La Liga and Champions League double last term.

And while you’d expect the winners of Euro 2016 to impress against the Faroe Islands, few expected Ronaldo to notch such a perfect finish as this in the opening minutes of the match:

Portugal currently sit in second place in Group B, three points behind leaders Switzerland.

However, Ronaldo’s side shouldn’t struggle to qualify with Hungary in third spot with just seven points from six matches.
