A devastating 10 minutes from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino turned Liverpool’s clash with Watford on its head.
Jurgen Klopp’s men went in at the break of their game at Vicarage Road trailing 2-1 after Stefano Okaka and Abdoulaye Doucouré cancelled out Sadio Mane’s goal.
Reds would have disappointing with that scoreline at half-time, but they didn’t take long to turn it around as Firmino and Salah produced some devastating attacking play.
Salah went down in the box to win a penalty that Firmino emphatically smashed home and followed that up with the latter chipping the ball over Heurelho Gomes for the former to tap in.
Here’s Firmino’s penalty:
And here’s Salah’s tap-in to make it 3-2:
That is quality attacking play – and exactly what Jurgen Klopp spent £34million on when he signed Salah.
Now Liverpool will be hoping to hold on to their lead and get their Premier League season off to the ideal start.
