Emre Can scored his first-ever Liverpool double against Hoffenheim this evening, as Jurgen Klopp‘s men roared into the Champions League group stages.

Having won 2-1 against the German opponents in the first-leg of their Champions League playoff tie last week, a tight affair was expected this evening at Anfield, but it didn’t take long for the Reds to get into their groove.

Can opened the scoring after just 11 minutes following a really clever piece of play from Sadio Mane in the build-up, and Mo Salah scored his first-ever goal at Anfield just a few minutes later to make it 2-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate.

If there was any doubt about the tie being over at that stage, Can sealed it within the first 20 minutes, prodding home easily in-front of an open goal:

As we said above, that’s Can’s first-ever double in a red shirt, but we doubt it’ll be his last.

What do you make of the goal?
