Footage has emerged which shows what Sergio Aguero did during the incident which has now led to a police investigation involving the player.
The Manchester City man was involved in the wild celebrations among the players and the supporters after Raheem Sterling’s 97th-minute winner at Bournemouth this afternoon.
It was a massive goal and you could forgive everyone involved with City for going bonkers – even if it did lead to some fans getting over the advertising boards to celebrate with their heroes.
It’s being reported that police received a complaint from a steward that Aguero hit him during the celebrations.
But this footage shows that Aguero was simply concerned with the supporter who was being dealt with aggressively by security and police:
Imagine having your arm broken and getting arrested for celebrating with the club you support. Fair play Aguero. pic.twitter.com/HhnWLpnbTX

Did Aguero hit anyone there? It doesn’t look like it.
You would think that the footage, and the eye witness accounts of several policemen, would see Aguero avoid any punishment for the allegations against him.
And hopefully the rule denying players the opportunity to celebrate with their supporters will be looked at down the line.
