Video: Olivier Ntcham Belts Home Volley For His First Celtic Goal

Olivier Ntcham produced a brilliant volley for Celtic‘s opening goal against Partick Thistle.

The French midfielder was restored to the starting XI after coming off the bench in the midweek win over Kilmarnock in the Betfred Cup.

And he was integral as Brendan Rodgers’ men went 1-0 up in the first half, smashing a volley in from the edge of the box:

On replay, it looks like Scott Brown gets the vital touch that beats Thistle goalkeeper Tomas Cerny.

BT Sport have been giving the goal to Ntcham so far during their broadcast of the game, but it could well go down as Brown’s.

It’s the ideal first half for Rodgers’ side, who will want to get through this game with minimal fuss before focusing their attention on the Champions League playoff first leg against Astana.

Partick, on the other hand, will be hoping to do more after the break in the hope they can get back into the game.
