Ryan Jack got a bizarre red card in the first half of Rangers’ clash with Hibs this afternoon.
The former Aberdeen midfielder was handed his first Premiership start at Ibrox for his new club.
But it didn’t go the way he planned as he was sent off just minutes after Simon Murray cancelled out their early opener through Alfredo Morelos.
On first glance, it looked like handbags between both sets of players, but referee John Beaton saw something that Jack did and decided it was worthy of a red card:
Can you see why Jack was sent off? It looks like he grabs the neck of Dylan McGeouch as the players come together, but is that enough to warrant a red card?
Hibs managed to grab a big second goal just minutes later, with James Taverniern turning into his own net after pinball in the box.
But will the home side come to regret Jack’s sending off?
