Video: Wayne Rooney’s Everton Goal Might Give You Goosebumps

Wayne Rooney marked his return to the Premier League as an Everton player with a goal.

The Manchester United legend is back at Goodison Park for his second spell with the club and he’s not wasting any time in making an impact.

Named in the starting XI by Ronald Koeman for the visit of Stoke, Rooney provided a trademark run from deep to power a head beyond Stoke goalie Jack Butland.

And it should give Everton and United fans – actually, every football fan – goosebumps to see him back scoring in a Toffees shirt:

That’s a superb header – and could turn out to be the winner as Everton continue to lead Stoke going into the last quarter of the game.

Rooney hardly played for United in his final season at Old Trafford, but has started the season in the Everton team and goals should help him stay there.

Everton fans – how good is it to see Rooney back scoring in your colours?
