Caixinha on Rangers Squad Meeting: “What Happens in Las Vegas, Stays in Las Vegas”

Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has this afternoon refused to discuss the club’s private team meetings, insisting that “what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas”.

The Gers manager has endured a stressful few days following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to a bitter rivals Celtic, and then reports of a fiery bust-up with some of his players in the aftermath.

But when pressed for details on the alleged encounter today, the Portuguese coach was staying tight-lipped, and perhaps he’s watched one of the Hangover movies recently.

Speaking via the Sun, Caixinha said when asked about the squad get-together: “Have you ever been to Las Vegas?

“Well what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas.

“You arrive there and cross the border that’s what everyone says.

“I can tell you what I can tell you. I’m not going to tell you what I don’t want to tell you because it’s private.

“And I’m not going to discuss with you what I’m discussing at breakfast with my family.

“So I’m not going to discuss what I have done with my team.”

Caixinha was speaking in his weekly press conference ahead of Friday’s Premiership clash away to Hamilton Accies, with the club currently finding themselves eight points behind Brendan Rodgers’ side before the start of October.

Caixinha has faced Celtic three times since he became the Rangers manager and so far he has a deficit aggregate score of 9-1 – so do his flippant comments like this help his cause? Or do they simply make him look, well, a little bit silly?

What do you think?
