Celtic Fans Showering Dedryck Boyata with Praise For ‘Immense’ Display Tonight

Celtic fans are lavishing praise on Dedryck Boyata tonight after the centre-half’s solid and imposing performance against Anderlecht in the Champions League.

The Hoops knew they had to at least avoid defeat in Brussels to keep alive hopes of at least dropping into the Europa League after Christmas, and goals from Leigh Griffiths and Patrick Roberts had them on east street just after half-time.

But it wasn’t the goalscorers who were winning all of the praise from fans, with the spotlight shining on Boyata.

Playing in his hometown in-front of Belgium manager Roberto Martinez, Boyata put in what’s probably been his best performance in a Celtic shirt, and the Anderlecht attackers simply couldn’t find a way past the former Man City man.
