Conor McGregor Set to Fight on Same Day as Next Celtic v Rangers Game

Conor McGregor has reportedly agreed to his next fight – and it’s set to take place on the same day as the next Celtic v Rangers match in the Scottish Premiership.

McGregor is fresh from taking a break from the UFC and trying his hand at boxing in the super-fight against Floyd Mayweather, but it looks like The Notorious is ready to return to the octagon to face one of his most bitter rivals.

According to the Irish Independent, McGregor is close to putting pen-to-paper on a deal to fight Nate Diaz for the third time in his career, with both fighters having won one bout each up until now.

The trilogy fight has been on the cards for sometime now and it looks set to take place in Las Vegas on December 30 – the same day as Rangers travel to Parkhead to face Celtic.

The two Glasgow giants crossed swords at Ibrox yesterday, with the Hoops coming out on top 2-0, and the prospect of having their next meeting on the same day McGregor’s return is absolutely mouthwatering.

What do you think of McGregor vs Diaz III? Who do you fancy to come out on top?
