Yes, the honour may have fallen to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo for this year’s title… but Cardoso prefers the 21-year-old who is on loan from Benfica.
Cardoso and Dalcio played together at the Estádio da Luz, before arriving at Ibrox this summer as part of Pedro Caixinha’s overhaul of the playing staff.
However, while Cardoso has seamlessly formed a partnership with ex-Porto defender Bruno Alves, Dalcio has struggled to make much of an impact in the Scottish Premiership.
And despite being left out of the squad for Rangers’ win against Dundee last weekend, Dalcio is still number one in Cardoso’s eyes:

Time will tell as to whether Dalcio can force his way into Caixinha’s plans, especially as the season progresses and the squad becomes stretched.
However, with Daniel Candeias, Niko Kranjcar and Dean Windass all seemingly ahead of the youngster in the pecking order… it looks to be a difficult task.
