The Spurs midfielder caused a little bit of controversy during England’s 2-1 win over Slovakia when he produced the middle finger and it was caught on camera.
It wasn’t exactly clear who Alli was showing the finger to until he took to Twitter last night to clarify:
Just to clarify, the gesture tonight was a joke between me and my good friend Kyle Walker! Apologies for any offence caused! Great win 2nite

And Walker has confirmed there was nothing serious to it either, with the Manchester City man posting this funny gif of Mr Bean showing the middle finger while in a car:

As you can see from the retweets and likes on both tweets, the gesture has caught the attention of plenty of football fans – and they seem entertained by the exchange.
Walker left Spurs in the summer to sign for Manchester City, but obviously still shares a close bond with the midfielder.
