As we told you earlier today, Palace’s awful start to the season came to a head this morning when Frank de Boer was sacked by the club’s board just four matches into his three-year deal, and Hodgson is apparently the man tasked with helping Palace avoid the dreaded drop.
Of course, Palace fans have a vested interest in who starts coaching their team, but United supporters are also keen to know who’ll be tutoring Fosu-Mensah – one of the Red Devils’ brightest prospects.
Given Hodgson’s involvement in England’s disastrous Euro 2016 campaign last summer, you can probably imagine the bulk of the responses:
Bring Fosu Mensah back. We wanted him to gain experience playing under a Dutch coach who gets him, not a footballing Dinosaur.

If I was Jose (you're not so shut the fuck up Jay!), I'd recall Fosu-Mensah from Palace. Hodgson will turn him into Ragnar Klavan!

I'd honestly rather have Fosu-mensah playing in the u23s than playing under Roy Hodgson.

Feel sorry for Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson as manager oh wow. TFM needs to come home before all his ability is ruined by that dinosaur

Roy Hodgson taking over?! Send Timothy Fosu Mensah back NOW!
— Adam McKola (@AdamMcKola) September 11, 2017
Man this sacking is bad for TFM. Now he may not be in the plans of hodgson, either way if he was hodgson would ruin him
— Hussein (@themexicanlad) September 11, 2017
Fosu-Mensah needs to be recalled asap. Hodgson will absolutely ruin him.

Hope we can bring back TFM. Hodgson is allergic to talented young players. He'll be looking to sign luke Young and Glen Johnson on frees.

What do you make of the reactions?
Is Roy Hodgson really that bad a coach?
