Celtic fans won’t care about ‘MSN’, ‘BBC’ or ‘LOL’ when they have ‘GPS’ to find their way to goal.
The Hoops are delighted after beating Anderlecht 3-0 in Belgium in the Champions League tonight.
They went into the game with plenty of pressure, knowing a draw or a win would be needed to help their push for European football after Christmas.
And they delivered, scoring three goals without reply in a convincing performance against the Belgian champions.
Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring before seeing Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair add the other goals – and the Scottish striker took to Instagram to give birth to the Scottish equivalent of ‘MSN’ (Messi, Suarez and Neymar), ‘BBC’ (Bale, Benzema and Cristiano) and ‘LOL’ (Lionel, Ousmane and Luis):
That’s an attacking trident Celtic fans can certainly get behind as they look for more success in Scotland and in Europe.
Brendan Rodgers’ men have taken the ascendancy in the group after two games, sitting in third on three points alongside Bayern Munich and now three ahead of Anderlecht who are bottom.
If they can produce more performances like that in Europe then everyone at Parkhead could look forward to European football in the second half of the season.
