Patrick Roberts Vows on Twitter to Keep Providing Chances For Leigh Griffiths

Patrick Roberts played a crucial part in Celtic‘s victory over Rangers this afternoon, and has promised to keep the chances coming for the club’s strikers.

Roberts managed to win the battle with in-form team-mate James Forrest for a starting berth at Ibrox today and soon repaid his manager’s faith with a strong performance.

His slaloming dribbles and skillful runs gave Gers full-back Lee Hodson a torrid time in the first-half, and Roberts’ flair eventually produced an end product in the second period, when his inch-perfect through-ball found Leigh Griffiths, who calmly slotted in the Hoops’ crucial second goal.

Griffiths celebrated on his Twitter page by vowing to continue shooting down Celtic’s opponents – and Roberts has pledged to keep supplying the bullets:

The Celtic supporters went crazy when Roberts re-joined the club on a second season-long loan from Man City, and his impressive display today reminded everyone exactly why he’s so highly-rated.

What did you think of his display?
