Conor McGregor opened up his Glasgow Q&A tonight with a tribute to Celtic.

The Irish fighter is in SEC Armadillo in the Scottish city to speak in front of thousands of diehard fans.

It’s his first press engagement since losing to Floyd Mayweather in their Las Vegas fight last month, but is also interesting considering it’s his first event in Glasgow too.

McGregor would already have been popular with Celtic supporters given he’s from Dublin and makes no secret of his love for his homeland.

But he also praised Celtic on social media months ago after the Green Brigade used one of his quotes as part a fan display before their game against Astana in the Champions League.

Tonight, McGregor took to the stage and immediately showed his support for Celtic:

That is sure to go down with Celtic supporters.

McGregor should also give an update in what’s next for his career, including his next fight, what happened against Floyd Mayweather and what he’s spending all his money on.
