The Belgian winger was played from the start as Antonio Conte’s men went looking for their second win in as many games in Europe this season.
And they managed to get it, with Hazard contributing to a very impressive display from the English Premier League champions.
Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi may have taken the headlines for the goals, but it was Hazard who did the majority of Chelsea’s good work going forward and he deserve the accolades that came his way post-match.
Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard formed the BT Sport punditry team last night and they were very complimentary of the Belgian wideman.

This could be seen as Hazard’s coming of age in Europe, finally producing a man of the match display against one of the world’s best teams.
Chelsea will now be hoping he can stay fit for the remainder of the season and help their push for titles at home and on the continent.
