Despite missing out on signing Hearts midfielder Jamie Walker during the transfer window, Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha claims he wasn’t disappointed on deadline day.
Rangers had been linked with the 24-year-old for the majority of the window, with Walker a life-long supporter of the Ibrox club.
However, despite Walker entering the final year of his Jambos contract, Rangers couldn’t agree a fee with Hearts.
And while it’s expected that Walker will sign a pre-contract with Caixinha’s side in January, the Portuguese refused the notion that he was “disappointed” over the deal.
Speaking during this afternoon’s press-conference, Caixinha said, “No, I’m not disappointed on that. I was only disappointed if I wasn’t able to have coverage on all the positions….
“I have the best squad and the best players so I am happy.”
Caixinha was speaking ahead of this weekend’s game, with Rangers set to host Dundee, as the Scottish Premiership gets back underway following the international break.
