Video: Romelu Lukaku Taunts Everton Fans After Scoring at Old Trafford

Romelu Lukaku came back to haunt Everton this afternoon by scoring against his former club for Manchester United – and then proceeded to rub salt into the wounds with his celebration.

The Belgian striker moved from Goodison Park to Old Trafford for £75 million during the summer transfer window, and came up against his former employers for the first time today.

Despite being Everton’s all-time top-scorer in the Premier League, Lukaku received a pretty icy reception from the Toffees fans inside the Theatre of Dreams and it wasn’t long before he made it clear the feeling was mutual.

After goals from Antonio Valencia and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the game was won when Lukaku struck from close-range late in the game, but he still insisted on celebrating like he’d just won the World Cup:

What do you think of the celebration? Is it refreshing to see a player celebrating like that against a former team?
