Oli McBurnie is making a habit of scoring quality goals for Swansea‘s Under 23 team.
The Scottish youth international – who we’ve compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the past – should really be playing for Barnsley at the moment after the English Championship club agreed a loan deal with the Swans on transfer deadline day.
McBurnie posted on social media about signing for the Oakwell side, but it was later revealed that the club hadn’t managed to complete the deal and McBurnie has now been forced to remain at the Liberty Stadium until at least January.
And that means he’ll probably have to settle for regular Under 23 appearances to go with the occasional cameo for the Swansea first team.
But scoring goals at that level won’t do him any harm – and his finish in the Under 23s’ 2-2 draw with Tottenham last night shows the kind of quality he has in front of goal:

If McBurnie keeps scoring goals like that, we don’t think it’ll be long before Paul Clement hands him more game time for Swansea.
