The Arsenal legend was speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football last night when he compared the top four strikers in the English Premier League.
Sergio Aguero, Morata, Lukaku and Kane all got on the scoresheet for their teams at the weekend so it was a good point to talk about their ranking in world football.
But, according to Henry, only Aguero is world class at the moment – and the other three will have to wait until they get to that level:
Is Henry right with his assessment of the strikers? All four are international players and seem to have been hitting the net on a regular basis throughout recent seasons.
Morata has six goals in seven games as a Chelsea player and has found the net consistently over recent campaigns with Real Madrid and Juventus.
Lukaku is similar, hitting eight in eight since becoming a Manchester United player and 87 goals in 166 games with Everton and West Brom over the previous five years.
But Kane’s numbers are the most impressive, with the Tottenham striker scoring 105 goals in 172 appearances as well as 10 in 21 for England.
So is Henry right? It’s hard to agree for us.
