Andrew Robertson Sends Message Apologising to Scotland Fans After Slovenia Draw

Andrew Robertson has sent a message to the Tartan Army apologising for his part in Scotland‘s disappointing draw in Slovenia last night, which ultimately killed off any chances of making next year’s World Cup.

Robertson and his team-mates knew wins over Slovakia last Thursday and Slovenia on Sunday would be enough to secure a playoff spot, and after overcoming the Slovaks at Hampden, it looked like it could really happen.

The national stadium was bouncing at full-time but just a few days later it was an all together different story, and Robertson has reached out to the supporters he feels he’s let down:

To be fair, Robertson was probably one of the few players over the double-header who can hold his head up high, and you’d imagine he still has a long future ahead of him in the Scotland set-up.

Does he really need to apologise? And should some other players be offering up their mea culpas today?
