Fans Are Baffled as Andy Robertson Can’t Make Liverpool’s Bench v Man United

Jurgen Klopp has dropped Andy Robertson for this afternoon’s clash with Manchester United… but fans are struggling to understand why.

Liverpool spent £10 million on the left-back this summer, however, he’s struggled to make much of an impact during his first few months at Anfield.

Robertson was of course one of Scotland’s top performers during the international break, albeit in a side which ultimately failed to make it to the World Cup play-offs.

With the Reds struggling defensively in recent games, Twitter has been left confused as to why Klopp has dropped a player in such good form not only out of the starting XI but also the match day squad:

Klopp has picked a back four which contains Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno.

Would Robertson’s presence improve that defence against United?

Or will the 23-year-old be considering his options in January after this latest snub?
