Eric Bailly Shares Delight After Returning From Injury For Tottenham Win

Eric Bailly has shared his delight after returning from injury for Manchester United‘s win over Tottenham.

The Ivory Coast defender hasn’t played for United since the end of last month, injuring himself in his country’s World Cup qualifier against Mali earlier this month.

But his recovery seemed fairly straightforward, paving the way for him to return to action for the visit of Spurs to Old Trafford this afternoon.

Both teams went into the game locked on 20 points in the English Premier League table, but it’s United who are now in front after beating their rivals 1-0 courtesy of Anthony Martial’s free-kick.

And Bailly helped contribute to their clean sheet in the game, brilliantly handling Tottenham’s talented attack alongside his United defensive teammates.

He took to Twitter post-match to share his delight at being involved:

Bailly’s return is a big boost for United going into an important run of fixtures.

They play Benfica again in the Champions League in midweek, with a win likely to send them straight through to the last 16.

Then they’ll travel to Chelsea on November 5th in a Premier League game that is bound to tell us a lot about their title aspirations.
