Fans Aren’t Dealing Well With News of Gerard Pique and Shakira’s ‘Split’

Fans aren’t dealing well with news that Gerard Pique and Shakira are to split up.

According to reports, the Barcelona defender and the Colombian music star are set to end their relationship after six years together.

From what we can find, they aren’t married so any headlines about divorce are untrue.

But it’s still believed that they are having issues that could lead to them ending their time together – and that news comes at the end of a controversial week involving Pique.

He spoke about quitting the national team last weekend due to his support for Catalan independence and his comments led to boos from Spain fans at a training session at the beginning of the week.

Now his relationship with Shakira is under the spotlight – and fans aren’t dealing with it well on social media:

We’re sure you get the point.

Spain play against Albania tonight in a must-win World Cup qualifier so Pique should be fully focused on that before, no doubt, addressing his personal situation.
