Marvin Bartley has changed his Twitter name to ‘boring Marvin Bartley’ on the same day he was criticised by Neil Lennon for a tweet in the aftermath of Hibs’ Edinburgh derby win over Hearts.
The Hibees midfielder attracted some attention after calling out Jambos midfielder Ross Callachan for his poor performance in Tuesday’s game.
According to Bartley, a lot was said about Callachan before the game – but he didn’t show up as Hibs won the game 1-0 at Easter Road.
Or at least we think that’s what he was meaning:
Craig Levein criticised Bartley for the tweet – saying that there used to be a time when players would say stuff like that to each other on the pitch.
Lennon joined Levein in hitting out at the tweet, insisting he’d tell his players to be careful with their conduct on social media.
Now Bartley looks to have received that message, judging by adding the word ‘boring’ to the start of his name on Twitter:
This tweet even suggests that his days of boldly tweeting are over:
Hope no one kicks the ball too hard or stamps excessively on the poor grass whilst running on it tomorrow!! ?

Shame. He’s always been good fun on Twitter.
