Pedro Caixinha Definitely Still Thinks He’s Rangers Manager

Pedro Caixinha definitely still thinks he’s the Rangers manager – despite speculation he may be on the way out.

An unscheduled board meeting took place at Ibrox this afternoon after last night’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.

The Gers were leading that game 1-0 when they were awarded a penalty with minutes to go, but Kilmarnock goalie Jamie McDonald saved Daniel Candeias’ effort before his teammates broke up the park to score a last-gasp equaliser through Chris Burke.

After the Betfred Cup semi-final exit to Motherwell at the weekend, that was not the result fans were expecting – and there’s been considerable pressure on Caixinha since.

But the Rangers manager has insisted he’s still in charge after being asked this afternoon, according to STV’s Raman Bhardwaj:

So Caixinha still thinks he’s in charge – and it could be that he will be for the foreseeable future after today’s board meeting.

Dave King attended the meeting and apparently left less than an hour later.

But could it be that Caixinha simply doesn’t know his fate yet?
