Pedro Caixinha Says Rangers Players Embarrassed the Club Yesterday

Pedro Caixinha has stuck the boot into his Rangers players after claiming they embarrassed the club in yesterday’s Betfred Cup semi-final defeat to Motherwell.

The Portuguese coach was sent to the stands as he watched helplessly from the sidelines as Louis Moult inspired the Steelmen to a 2-0 victory at Hampden, and a date with Celtic in next month’s final.

Rangers supporters have vented their fury at Caixinha online following the defeat, and it turns out the Gers boss has done the same to his bewildered squad.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Ibrox, Caixinha sat down in-front of the Scottish media this afternoon, and he well and truly threw his players under the bus:

With fans turning against him and the pressure turned up full, is Caixinha right to turn on his players like this?

Does the Portuguese coach still have a long-term future at the club?
