The Quirky and Bold Design Doing the Rounds is NOT Scotland’s New Home Kit

Scotland are due to release a brand new set of kits in the next few weeks or so but the bold and quirky design you may have seen doing the rounds on social media is not the new home shirt.

As you can see in the main image above, a shirt showing a rather retro-inspired design complete with a jagged arrow pattern which is apparently a homage to the Scots’ 1992 kits.

Following Scotland’s failure to get to the playoffs for next year’s World Cup in Russia, kit manufacturers Adidas are due to release their new shirts for the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign in November, so it makes sense that a potential prototype would be spotted on social media.

But the ultra-reliable kit website Footy Headlines has exposed this design as a fake, mocked up by designer @FrancooC07.

The current Scotland strips are still on sale in certain shops but have been slashed in price and are unlikely to be re-stocked once they’re sold out.

What do you think of the mock-up? And would you have been pleased if it was the new Scotland home shirt?
