Ronny Deila Held Vålerenga Team Meeting ‘Naked’ in Bid to Get Rid of Players’ Fears

Ronny Deila apparently held a Vålerenga team meeting ‘naked’ in a bid to help get rid of the fear in his players.

The former Celtic manager is now back in his homeland managing the Oslo team, taking over that job at the beginning of this year.

Despite his moderate success in Glasgow, Deila has struggled with the Norwegian side this term, sitting 10th in the league after 24 games.

There’s still plenty of the season left and Vålerenga have a job on to avoid relegation.

But Deila is apparently doing all he can to get success with the team – with Norwegian journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft claiming that the former Hoops boss was naked in a recent team meeting in an effort to motivate his players:

Apparently it was intended to show the players that they have nothing to fear:

It came before their game against Brann at the end of last month – and thankfully they won 2-0:

Deila’s reign at Celtic was filled with interesting stories, but this is perhaps the best we’ve heard about him.
