Arjen Robben scored an absolute beauty for Holland tonight – in what might be his last-ever match in the Netherlands’ iconic orange kit.
After finishing third in the last World Cup, Robben and his teammates went into tonight’s final qualification match for next year’s tournament knowing they had to beat Sweden by a whopping seven goals to even stand a chance of making the playoffs.
Given Robben is already 33-years-old, and the scale of the task in-front of them, it seems likely that the Bayern Munich winger could be playing his final match for his country, but he wasn’t about to go out with a whimper.
The ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid superstar opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first-half, and just before half-time he doubled his side’s lead with this rather exquisite effort:

Not too shabby, eh?
The Netherlands might not make the World Cup – and it’ll be a worse competition for it – but at least we’ll always have the memories of Robben’s many brilliant goals like this on the international stage.
What a player!
