Holland may have failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia… but one Dutch TV show is refusing to give up hope of seeing their national team at next year’s tournament.

Dick Advocaat’s side went into their final qualifier with Sweden, knowing only a 7-0 victory would secure a play-off spot.

The game eventually ended with Holland picking up a 2-0 victory; a result which left them short and the country devastated.

However, popular Dutch chat show Zondag met Lubach (Sunday with Lubach) has devised a four-option plan that would allow Arjen Robben and his team-mates to play in Russia anyway.

The idea is called, Orange Eleven…

Option one would see Holland pretending to be Belgium by intercepting the team bus, wearing their kit and impersonating the Belgian accent.

Number two would involve dragging Iceland, who did qualify, until the country is forced to become part of the USA.

The third plan involves forging a political friendship with Russia and accepting all their demands in favour of entry to the tournament.

And the final way, which is of course the most elaborate, sees Robben and Rafael van der Vaart stealing the trophy, while Wesley Sneijder acts as a replacement:

What lengths would you go to in order to see your team at the World Cup?
