Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster put USA to the sword at the under 17 World Cup this afternoon.

The Young Lions are out in India looking to become world champions – and you’d fancy them to do that based on their performances and results so far.

They won all three of their group games, beating Chile and Iraq 4-0 while edging out Mexico in a 3-2 win.

And they’re now in the semi-finals after beating Japan on penalties to set up a last four tie with USA.

Thanks to Brewster – a highly rated young striker at Liverpool – England are on the verge of making it to the final after he fired home two goals to put them in the driving seat against the Americans.

His first was an opportunistic tap-in:

But his second was much better, as he burst through on goal before deftly chipping home to make it 2-0:

How good is that? Jurgen Klopp has already spoken publicly about Brewster’s quality and you wonder if he could be set for a first team call-up when he returns from India.
