Video: Man City Defender Benjamin Mendy Can’t Stop Tweeting About Sharks

Benjamin Mendy might be out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury… but the defender isn’t letting his spell on the sidelines affect his activity on social media.

Yes, the Manchester City defender is still Tweeting about sharks.

Mendy’s shark-related posts started after the Frenchman completed his move to the Etihad this summer, as he told the Telegraph, “We’re the big shark and when teams swim up alongside us we gobble them up.”

And to his credit, he’s very dedicated.

The ex-Monaco man uploaded yet another shark post this afternoon from what appears to be inside the Man City dressing room, “wait for it”:

A look further down Mendy’s timeline will unveil more shark-related posts…

The left-back cost City a whopping £52million and looked a solid acquisition until he sustained a ruptured cruciate ligament in only his fifth appearance against Crystal Palace last month.

City have looked strong even in the defender’s absence though, currently sitting top of the league ahead of today’s clash with Stoke City.
