Scotland under 21 striker Oli McBurnie scored a pretty ridiculous first-half hat-trick for Swansea‘s under 23s tonight.
The lanky hitman only played for Scot Gemmill’s 21s team on Tuesday in a 2-0 win away in Latvia.
McBurnie got on the scoresheet in that victory, rising at the front post to head home a second goal for the Scots.
And three days later he’s back playing for Swansea’s under 23 team – single-handedly dismantling Chelsea in a Premier League 2 clash.
McBurnie produced three superb finishes for three goals in the first half – and, given all the talk over the quality of Scottish players at the moment, it’s a welcome sight for any interested Tartan Army fans:

That is outstanding from McBurnie – and makes you think what he could be doing if he was given a chance regularly at first team level.
He was actually sent on loan to Barnsley on the final day of the summer transfer window, but issues over his registration saw that fall through after the deadline.
There’s no doubt he’ll be interesting a few teams in the January window if he can’t make a dent on the Swansea first team under Paul Clement.
