Video: Scotland Fan Promises to Get James Forrest Back Tattoo if They Make World Cup

A Scotland fan has promised to get James Forrest’s face tattooed on his back if the country make it to the World Cup.

Gordon Strachan’s men took a big step towards qualification with their 1-0 win over Slovakia at Hampden last night.

They went into this week’s double header knowing they had to win both qualifiers to assure second place in the group and a playoff spot.

And after Martin Skrtel’s 88th-minute own goal, Scotland now have the opportunity to secure that playoff spot by beating Slovenia on Sunday in their final game.

Supporters are understandably delighted with the result and the prospect of being in Russia next summer.

This one fan, in particular, hopes his bad luck could be a good thing for Scotland – after he promised his pals that he’d get a tattoo of Forrest’s face on his back if the Tartan Army qualified:

Good on this lad for making the promise – we’d be more than happy to pay for the tattoo if Scotland do manage to make it to the World Cup.

Hopefully a positive result and a favourable playoff draw can get us there.
