
Alan Shearer isn’t the sort of guy you want to poke fun at on Twitter, especially if you want a light-hearted airy fairy response from the former Newcastle United hit man.
The 47-year-old, a successful pundit on BBC’s Match of the Day, was the subject of a classic ‘caption this image’ Tweet this afternoon from @FootyAccums.
The picture showed the Premier League’s all-time record scorer looking sternly toward former Manchester United duo Gary Neville and David Beckham.
One fan comically replied that Shearer’s look was in reference to the ex-England international having rejected the chance to join United twice during his playing days:
Clearly oblivious to Shearer’s sharp tongue on social media, @FootyAccums replied by questioning what the former Southampton ace achieved after turning down Sir Alex Ferguson’s advances:
And to say Shearer was irritated by the comment appears to be an understatement, especially considering his no-nonsense reaction:
