Bayern Munich Wish Celtic a Happy Birthday on 130th Anniversary of Club’s Birth

Bayern Munich have wished Celtic a happy birthday on the 130th anniversary of the Glasgow club’s formation, which took place on this day back in 1887 in St Mary’s Church Hall on East Rose Street.

The Hoops faced the German giants in the Champions League group stages only last week, with the Bavarian side coming out on top 2-1 at Parkhead, and it seems Celtic made quite an impression on their opponents.

As the Celtic media team sent out posts on the club’s various different social media channels this morning marking the occasion, they were probably surprised to see a post from Bayern come a long, with some of the club’s World Cup and Champions League-winning stars pictured raising a beer:

This time last year, Celtic were making friends with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Twitter, following their own clashes with the Bhoys in the Champions League last season.

But it seems Gladbach have some serious competition when it comes to being Celtic’s no.1 football friend!
